Background Story

Intro

Pasta Maialo is a family restaurant very well known for its hospitality, food quality, price and presentation. But that's not what GAFI thinks, they decided that the restaurant can't be able to offer such products anymore and in order to keep the business running the owner will have to pay a huge amount in fines and taxes and also fit the restaurant in the up to date GAFI regulations, which will cost more money.

Gnocchino Suinardo, Pasta Maialo's owner, sees himself drowned in deep problems, without understanding what's happening, never before a costumer complained about the food, the service, the structure of the restaurant, everything was always full of compliments and commends.

Buccerino Suinardo, son of Gnocchino, states that they won't pay nothing to GAFI and proposes that Pasta Maialo changes its location to a place where they can be free to cook and eat without thirdparties interfere.

The Suinardo family is shaken up, without directions of what to do, they don't have enough resources to neither pay GAFI nor to reopen Pasta Maialo somewhere else. It is then that eight individuals appear. They talk about an underground market that promotes an arena which cooks fight genetic modified ingredients to test how they behave in the gastronomy world. And as they fight said ingredients they are rewarded with big budgets.

Buccerino then realizes that due to the amount needed to reopen Pasta Maialo he will need to fight the ultimate tier of the arena. The eight individuals then say that at the level Buccerino is, an amateur chef assistant, would never ever be able to take such challenge.

The reason is that in order to defeat all the challenges of the Black Spoon Arena, he will need to master the Big Eight Cuisines:

• American
• Arabian
• Chinese
• French
• Indian
• Italian
• Japanese
• Mexican

They then offer their help to Buccerino, as each of them is a Master Chef of one of said cuisines. In exchange for the help, they ask Buccerino to defeat the GAFI officer in a Kitchen Battle, only then the culinary world will be able to thrive again. They then invite Buccerino to come to their restaurants so that they can teach him the art of cooking.
