+This is the initial blog post to get this blog up and running. Why is
+this even being done? Frankly we're in a weird time in America. Elon
+Musk just consummated his takover of Twitter. If things get too screwy
+there I \textbf{will} abandon the place and just switch to blogging.

+For now I am using Netlify for hosting. I hope I don't regret doing
+this. We'll see what erupts, I suppose.

+I am shocked and amazed that this works. It wasn't the simplest of
+choices to go with a static site. Initially I had thought about using

+again but couldn't find server space I could both afford and not feel
+like I had to do too much fussing with. Changes at Branchable

+it a non-option}.

+We'll see how this experiment goes. I may migrate more to this

+Friday involved me heading out to MicroCenter in Cleveland. I wound up
+buying an

+Watch SE}. I got the black sport band and a screen protector for it.

+Why do something like this? I've had two health care providers tell me
+to get a fitness tracker in the past seven days. This was the one they
+recommended getting. Currently I am on Plan C with respect to a
+\href{https://www.cdc.gov/healthyweight/losing_weight/getting_started.html}{particular
+health issue} so we're going down the road of trying to resolve it
+through self-directed actions.

+I don't know where things are going in life. As things continue to
+deteriorate in public life I am feeling push to find a bolthole. Run to
+Canada? Run to Australia? With racism and anti-semitism on the rise it
+does seem like malign forces are seeking to dominate and control.
