data enumerations [GENEPIO:0001522] are data items that mention a set of entities. They do not strictly have anything in common, but with GENEPIO there is usually a commonality in their application. They are used in the GENEPIO specification applications to show lists of permissible values associated with a data field [GENEPIO:0100586]. While "enumeration" is a "data item" not everything referenced within an enumeration qualifies as a "data item". Not to be confused with "data set" which describes "data items" of the same type that have something in common.
